Medical professionals must protect themselves from x-ray and isotope exposure.   They currently wear heavy lead aprons which tend to break. Because our nation’s water supply is protected, medical professionals are not allowed to wash their lead aprons.  Furthermore, the disposal of lead aprons is regulated by the EPA.

Demron™ medical aprons and vests are lightweight, foldable and washable.  Unlike lead aprons, the Demron™ fabric does not crack when folded or bent.  Demron™ can be hand washed with soap and water, allowing medical professionals to operate in a sterile environment.  There are no disposal restrictions for Demron™ medical aprons and vests.
